1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using OpenHEIC.com ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Website.

2. Description of Service

OpenHEIC provides a browser-based utility that allows users to convert image files (such as HEIC/HEIF) into other formats (such as JPG, PNG, WebP, or PDF).

Local Processing: You acknowledge that our service operates using Client-Side technology (WebAssembly). This means the conversion is performed by your device's hardware and browser. We do not provide server-side storage or cloud processing for your media files.

3. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Your Content: We claim no ownership over the photos you convert. You retain 100% of the rights to your original and converted files. Since files are processed locally, OpenHEIC never possesses a copy of your content.

Our Content: The Website’s design, code, logos, and educational text are the property of OpenHEIC.com and are protected by international copyright laws. You may not scrape, clone, or redistribute our proprietary code without written consent.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to use OpenHEIC for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to possess and convert the files you introduce to the Website's browser environment.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. OpenHEIC does not warrant that:

  • The conversion will be 100% accurate or free of artifacts.
  • The Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time.
  • The results of using the service will meet your specific professional requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall OpenHEIC.com be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: local data loss, browser crashes, device overheating, or loss of profits arising out of your use of the local-processing engine.

7. Third-Party Advertising

We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. These third-party ad servers use technology to send the advertisements and links that appear on OpenHEIC directly to your browser. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how cookies are used in this process.
